To introduce myself briefly, I'm a charcoal and pencil artist and have been creating since my earliest childhood memories. It's my favourite way to spend my time.

Although I have been creating art for at least 20 years, it has always been deeply personal to me, I have no professional qualifications and am entirely self-taught. Rather than choosing art as a profession, it's been something I've enjoyed in quiet moments after work or at weekends as a way to experience a deep peace when life feels noisy or chaotic. 

 

Slowly over the years, I've started to realise that art could be more than just a hobby despite not going down the traditional route to becoming a professional artist. Gently, I have started exploring how my work can connect with people, and how it might also bring comfort and peace to others, as it does to me. In 2023, I decided to dial down my hours in my 'proper job', and invest in perhaps making something I love so much, something a little more. 

 

My faith has a clear influence on my work, and as you might notice most of my pieces have some kind of biblical theme thread through. My faith in Jesus is my deepest source of meaning, and to think my artwork might also encourage people in their own spiritual journey is very humbling, but I'm so glad to share the journey.
